Soldier of Mauritania; refused to sacrifice to idols; left; twisted and forced into logs; the pouring molten lead into the wounds; right decapitated body found by Bishop St. Maternus intact; miraculously protected from the fairs. Detail from bronze door of Milan Cathedral dedicated Edict of Constantine; which depicts: the lower the first six bishops of Milan; climbing scenes of religious persecution; centrally records the words of the Edict of tolerance that recognizes the people freedom of worship; top scenes of free Christians and exultant. Ironically; the sculptor of Jewish family began the work in 1937; but had to stop because of the tragic denial of tolerance introduced by the racial laws; being able to carry it out only after the fall of fascism and the conclusion of the War world.
