Arab exodus from Iraq Manshiyah. At the time of the conclusion of the Armistice agtreement between Israel and Egypt, it was agreed that those of the Arabs in the Fallujah pocket who wished to cross into Arab territory would be allowed to do so. A few hundred inhabitants of Iraq Manshiyah expressed their wish to join relatives in Hebron and arrangements were made for them to transfer across the Transjordan lines. The Israeli government supplied transport under the supervision of UNO observers, the Arabs were evacuated. They took all their belongings with them, including grain stores and cattle.
