Folkestone, Kent ; There's a welcome ashore for Miss Arati Saha, 19 , from, left to right ; Dr Bimal Chandra , the Indian Channel swimmer ; Brojen Das, the Channel swimmer from Pakistan and her manager Dr Arun Gupta. Arati Saha , a student from Calcutta , India , became the youngest swimmer to conquer the Channel this season when she landed near Folkestone after a swim from Cap Gris Nez , lasting 16 hours and 20 minutes. She represented India in the 1952 Olympics . 1 October 1959
