Katmai National Park - Alaskan Peninsula Shown here is the Southwest Wall of Trident Volcano that has been erupting for the past several days , shooting a column of smoke and steam a mile and a half into the air . Lava was reported seen at Lower edge of the crater , a region of active volcanos and the valley of 10,000 smokes . In background is Knife Peak and to far right is Mount Katmai which erupted in 1912 .
