29 of the 31 occupants are reported to have died in a BEA Viking plane which crashed in thick fog when landing at London Airport from Paris tonight (Tuesday). Two survivors, one understood to be the stewardess, were taken to hospital. The plane, carrying passengers on one of the companies cheap ?0 flights from Paris, apparently overshot the runway. It is said to have crashed into a pile of iron pipes and burst into flames. Firemen and rescue workers found their way across the fog bound airfield to the wreckage, scattered and buried in mud over a large area it is reported the plane carried 27 passengers and four crew.
