Firemen search the wreckage of Turkish Viscount airliner which crashed tonight (Tuesday) on the borders of Surrey and Sussex a few miles from Gatwick Airport. The plane, bringing Mr Adnan Menderes, the Turkish Prime Minister, and his party to Britain from the Cyprus conference, came down in a wood as it approached the airport. 12 people were killed.
