People of Dartford, Crayford and district will soon have their own Observatory for observing the heavens by night-for Mr GH Robinson the librarian at Crayford town Hall has installed reflecting telescope. He has built the telescope himself and will be present each evening when their Observatory "opens" said that the general public may have a chance of viewing. He hopes to let them see an intimate view of the moon, planets and stars-something that has never or been carried out on a public scale in this country. Having a preview of the 18 inch telescope is his assistant 20 years old miss Eva Gould of Northfleet, Kent 21 January 1958
