Frenchman Jean Wanes of France , put up a fine show at the Hallenstadion , Zurich , Switzerland , when he made Sugar Ray Robinson go the full distance in a ten round contest . Sugar Ray played the Frenchman how he liked but couldn't get him down for the count though Wanes went down several times for counts of nine when his opponent let go his fierce right . Wanes surprisingly rallied in the last round and had Sugar on the defensive but lost the match on points . Seen here a fine action shot as Wanes goes down from a terrific right from Robinson .
