Churchill Flies Home To Election Battle Mr Winston Churchill flew home from his holiday making at Madiera to contest the election which is due to take place on February 23rd Tonight he takes part in a conference with lord Woolton . Mr Churchill is cutting short his holiday , he was due in London next week. According to present arrangements Mr Churchill will make a series of speeches throughout the country . He will also deliver at least on broadcast . He is in good health and anxious to get into the fight Mr Churchill had to leave one unfinished painting and was heard to say ' Another nice holiday gone to blazes ' 12th January 1950
