British Colombia's wedding gift. A seven piece tea service in sterling silver made in Canada of silver produced by the Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada Ltd, at Trial, British Columbia, has been sent to England by the Prime Minister, the hon John Hart, on behalf of the people and Government of the Province as a wedding present to H R H Princess Elizabeth and Lt Philip Mountbatten R.N. The design is a replica of a 1720 tea set, and the crest of the province is engraved on each piece. An inscription recording the occasion is engraved on the tray.
