London pageantry. The City of London put on its greatest free show today (Monday) . When, in all the way and splendour of the Lord Mayor's Show, the new Lord Mayor Alderman Sir Frederick Wells, drove in the great gilded coach to the Law Courts for the swearing-in ceremony. The mounted bands of the Household Cavalry was seen in State Dress for the first time since 1939, and nineteen tableau represented the fame, 'The County Comes to the City', chosen by the Lord Mayor to show the need of London and other great cities, for the produce of the land.
