EVT/ HWT The Services, Educational and Vocational Training Scheme is a thing of many parts. Training for all sorts of careers is sold by men preparing for demobilisation, but Guardsmen Ken Tinson, 20-year-old ex-milkman of Chippenham, Wiltshire, is one of the first ever to ask for training as a heavyweight boxer. Today at Jack Solomons Gymnasium, under the expert eye of Nat Seller, Ken began training for a professional career. But he doesn't start from scratch. He recently fought a draw with Cpl Walker, the Army heavyweight champion.
