At Wiltshire Assizes, Devizes today, the Rev Charles Henry Cunningham Lamb, aged 36, was sentenced to 18 months hard labour after pleading guilty to having bigamously married Joan Ellen Boddie, then a corporal in the W AAF, at Dinton, near Salisbury, in 1944. Mr Lamb was chaplain of St John's, Isle of Man, before his licence was revoked earlier this year.
