The Hindu dancer Ram Copal with his 10-year-old leading lady Hevanti, from Bombay, performed native dances inside the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The occasion was the opening of the "Human Form in Indian Sculpture" Exhibition and this is the first time a dancer has been brought into the museum to explain the significance of objects on display. 15 September 1947
