After an all-night search, the destroyer Obdurate and two Admiralty wreck-disposal vessels which had joined her at dawn were called off the Channel search for the ?000 yacht Pembeth, stolen from her moorings at Gosport, Hants. It is thought that the vessel was taken by German prisoners in an effort to escape the country, and the search has now switched to the continent. The vessel which is 31 feet long and is fitted with an unusual sail rig and has an auxiliary engine of 15 hp. Stores and equipment worth ?00 were aboard when she was stolen.
