Prime Minister opens 'Marble Arch Colliery'. The 'Minor Comes to Town' exhibition, staged by the National Coal Board and the Ministry of Fuel and Power, was open this morning (Thursday) at the Marble Arch Pavilion by the Prime Minister. Showpiece of the exhibition is the 'Marble Arch Colliery', a full-scale replica of a mine, complete with machinery, safety devices, and a 'coalface' with miners at work.
