Third time lucky?. A young lady with high hopes for the British Ice Skating Championships and the Olympic Games is 19-year-old Marion Davies, of Notting Hill Gate, London. Training hard for the major events, Marion is now spending six hours each day at the Empire Pool, Wembley, getting better every day. In 1945. She came third to Cecilia College and Daphne Walker. Last year she was second to Daphne. Now both these former champions are professionals, and it looks like being third time lucky for Marion.
