Miss M.S Chissell, of Wimborne, Dorest pictured here helping on her fathers rose garden, is the first Ex-WAAF officer in this country to join the W AAF reserve. She was demobbed of the section officer in May 1946, after serving as a woman in the filter room and then being commissioned at the age of 19 in March 1942. Since then Miss Chissell has been assisting her father on his farm at Wimborne, but recently decided to join the reserve to keep in touch with post-war radar improvements. 11 July 1947
