Lady Daphne Russell, 26 yera old daughter of the Duke and Dutchess of Bedford, appeared at Bow street today on three summonses alleging currency offences involving ?,400. The summonses alleged that she issued two cheques for ?00 each she August 1st and Sept. 13th 1946 so that a right to receive payment was created in favour of Max Intrator. Another cheque for ?00 was alleged to have been issued so that a simillar right was created in the favour of the manager of the Martinez Hotel, Cannes.
