Married at St Paul's, Knightsbridge, today, was Mr Charles Herbert Fowler Ransom, Woolsthorpe farmer, only son of the late Mr D'Oyley Scott Ransom, of Wiverton Hall, Notts, and mrs D'Oyley Ransom, of The Old Vicarage, Southwell, to Miss Margaret Daphne Schall, daughter of the late Capt Leslie Shaw of the red house, Exeter, and the honourable Mrs bazley-White, of drayton gardens. It was a great days of the farm staff of the bridegroom's 500 acre Grange farms at Woolsthorpe, for they were given a holiday and brought to London and special coach to attend the wedding. 5 July 1947
