More than 30 people are reported to have been injured, most of them only superficially, when the 2:50 PM Euston to Manchester express left the rails when travelling at high speed 2 miles north of Bletchley, bucks, today. 6 of the coaches were derailed, 5 of them toppling on to the embankment beside the line. Half a mile of track was torn up before the train could be brought to a standstill. 29 May 1947
