Sir Malcolm Campbell's new jet driven "preferred", in which he will attempt to break the world's water speed record of 141.7 mph, was on show to first time at the Portchester shipyard of the makers,Messrs. vospers. Sir Malcolm demonstrated the craft to press men and representatives of the services, and expressed satisfaction with the vessel. The "Bluebird will arrive at Lake Coniston on June 9 after which favourable weather will be awaited with a record bid.
