Sir Hamilton Westrow Hulse, Bt, aged 37, of Breamore, Fordingbridge, Hnats, appeared at Fordingbridge magistrates court today charged that "on a date unknown in August 1946 at Monte Carlo, in the principality of Monaco, not being authorised dealer, he unlawfully fought certain foreign currency, to quit 24,000 French francs, from one Max Intrator, a person not being an authorised dealer, country to regulation 2 of the defence regulation 1939 and to the supplies and services act 1945." Sir Hamilton pleaded guilty and was fined ?5, with costs. 11 April 1947
