Bath's youngest magistrate, 27 year old Miss Enid Hingston, a stores clerk in a Bath engineering works, was today, Tuesday, sworn in as a Justice of the Peace. During the war Miss Hingston used to entertain memebers of the forces with tap dances and songs. She has never been in a court of law and states that the first she knew about the appointment was when she received a letter from the house of Lords, in which the Lord Chancellor asked her to accept the position. 18 March 1947
