'I've got a horse' vicar. Parishioners of St Barnabas, Plymouth don't have to look further than the parish magazine when they need a tip for the Grand National. For the vicar, the Rev John S Clarke, has boosted the circulation of his magazine up to 400 a month, by giving racing tips. Though he is not a betting man, and says that 'betting is a mugs game' he takes a great interest in racing, especially steeplechasing. About the Grand National., he fancies 'Lovely Cottage', Jack Finlay and Prince Regent, with Bricett standing a good chance of at least a place.
