Show boats. More than 1000 models occupying 160 stands, extending over a length of about half a mile will be seen at the British Shipbuilding and Shipping Exhibition, to be opened tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Royal Horticultural Society Hauls, Westminster. The exhibition, organised under the auspices of the'Worshipful Company of Shipwrights', of which his Majesty the King is permanent master, will be representative of 95% of the shipbuilding establishments, and many shipping companies, throughout the country. Photo shows, a one-eighth scale model of a ships forepart, which will be seen at the show. Built by Clarke, Chapman, of Gateshead, on Tyne, the model demonstrates a modern methods of cargo handling.. 27 January 1947
