Enquiry opened into Kent Dakota crash. The public inquiry by the Chief Inspector of Accidents into the Dakota crashed at Stowting (Kent) on 11. January was opened at the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Strand, London, today, Thursday. More than 20 witnesses are to be called in the course of the inquiry, which is expected to last 10 days. Eight people were killed when the aircraft, which belonged to BOAC hit a hillside after being diverted owing to fog from Bordeaux. The aircraft was on its way from London airport to Lagos, West Africa. Representatives of the French Government are attending the inquiry.
