The Blackfriars Singers, a choir singing part songs in the true English tradition, seen in their mediaeval garb as they practice for their Christmas recital of carols to be given on Monday December 23 at the Haslemere Hall. The choir was formed in the dark days of the Blitz and visited air raid shelters to entertain. They sing under the enthusiastic leadership of their conductor Mr J.A. Coombs. 15 December 1946
