With doctors, ambulances and fire crews standing by below, a Liberator of the BOAC circled for 10 hours to use up its fuel supply before crash landing. The aircraft took off from Prestwick, Scotland, for Montr嶧l, but the pilot J.M.Wilson found the undercarriage damaged so that part would not retract.
