Miss Ethelwych Broadbent and Mr Nicolas Wlandi are leaving Croydon Airport today (Sunday), as co pilot in a single engined Auster, for Cairo. Enthusiastic amateur pilots in Egypt, both have considerably less than 100 flying hours in their logs, and have only had five minutes each solo in their new plane. Miss Broadbeat, however, a women in her fifties is noted for her aerobatic displays. Their hazardous route will mean crossing the Alps and the long crossing of the Mediterranean Sea.
