Still going strong. Oldest inhabitant of the Pelican House at the London zoo is Bill, a white pelican, who is just had a birthday party in celebration of his reaching a reputed 70 years of age. Bill has been around a bit, before beginning his present life of ease some 10 years ago, he and his retirement serving for 50 years, with the now disbanded Bostock's circus, and was quite a grown-up bird before entering the sawdust ring. Although a little unsteady on his feet, now I'm unable to break into a sprint, Bill seems good for a good many more fish meals. He's hardly up to queueing for them, though!.
