National Eisteddfod of Wales. the Welsh mining village of Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, a depressed area before the war , and a black spot of unemployment, now, sprang to life again yesterday (Monday) . When it became for a week the centre of the Welsh National Eisteddfod. Today (Tuesday) . Princess Elizabeth was initiated into the Mystic Gorsedd of bands of Britain on a mountain side above the village. The King and Queen were admitted into the Gorsedd 1926, when they were Duke and Duchess of York. Picture shows, Princess Elizabeth after her initiation as a Bard. She is wearing the emerald green robe and heard of a novitiate. She was given the title of Elizabeth of Windsor.
