The captain of the "Oswald", Lt. Cmdr David Alexander Frazer faces a court-martial arising out of the loss of H.M. submarine "Oswald" off the estern end of the Straits of Messina in August 1940, when the vessel was sunk by order of her commanding officer, after being rammed by an enemy vessel, and her officers and crew were captured.
