The story of how the Navy lost one of its newest mine laying submarines, the "Seal" off the Swedish coast in May, 1940, was told at the Portsmouth Court-Marshall by Lt. Commander Rupert Philip Lonsdale in command of the Seal at the time. Before the court was Lt.Trevor Agar Beet on two charges. Photo shows Warwick Higgins (right) former Chief Petty Officer in the Seal one of the chief witnesses having the court with other ex-members of the Seal's crew. 9 April 1946
