The story of how the Navy lost one of its newest mine laying submarines, the "Seal" off the Swedish coast in May, 1940, was told at the Portsmouth Court-Marshall by Lt. Commander Rupert Philip Lonsdale in command of the Seal at the time. Before the court was Lt.Trevor Agar Beet on two charges.
