Jomo Kenyatta, former Mau Mau leader, who was sentenced to 7 years hard labour in Kenya for managing Mau Mau in September 1953, was taken on the only occasion he is seen outside prison or a restricted area since his trial. It was taken at Kitale in Kenya when he was giving evidence for Rawson Mgogwa Macharia, who has been accused of swearing a false affidavit about Kenyatta's trial. He is seen carrying the bulky transcripts of the proceedings of his own trial. March 1959
