Paddington Station hit by heavy bombs. It can now be revealed that on 3 March 1944, a direct hit was made on Paddington Station by high explosives and large incendiary bombs. One bomb exploded on platforms, six and seven making a 40 foot wide crater 12 foot deep. Photo shows, workmen clearing the debris and filling in the crater on platforms, six and seven at Paddington Station, by the evening, all constructed lines were restored. 3 March 1944
