The star exhibit of the Watch Exhibition being held in Madrid and Barcelona is the one made by the French watchmaker Leroy for the Count of Carvalho Monteiro of Lisbon , at the turn of the century . It took just under five years to make ( 1897 - 1902 ) and cost 20 000 gold francs . It was purchased some years later by funds raised by French watchmakers and given a place of honour in their musuem at Bresancon . It has two dials and 25 indicatives - the day of the month , the date , the month , the year , leap years , the seasons , the solstices , the equinox , the time in 125 towns throughout the world and more . 15 February 1965
