Claimed to be the first Tunny to be landed by a woman angler with rod and line . Mrs Sparrow with her catch , which weighed 469lb . Mrs Sparrow , wife Col R Sparrow , of Colne Engaine , Essex , was successful in landing a big Tunny September 8 , after a tussle that lasted two and half hours . The fish weighed 469ib was 7ft long and 5ft in girth . Mrs Sparrow is stated to be the first woman angler to land one of the huge Tunnies . The fish was caught of Scarborough . Two other Tunnies ( weighing 504 lb and 554lb ) were hooked about the same time . 8 September 1932
