Body of Zionist founder returned to Israel . In a ceremony on 14 August the body of Teador Herzl , founder of the Zionist Movement , was handed over to the State of Israel , and will be brought back to the newly formed State for reburial . The bodies of his parents , buried in the same graveyard in Vienna , and his sister who was buried in Budapest , were taken to the Viennese Synagogue where they will lay in state , while waiting for transportation to Israel .
