Air Stewardesses of British Overseas Airways Corporation are to have a new uniform . It is a dark blue barathea costume , white shirt and black tie , and in place of the convential forage cap they will have a smart blue toque secured by a special device to counteract the effect of the strongest slipstream . These stewardesses will soon be working side by side with stewards on the London-New York service , having completed an intensive 10 week training course .
