Mr Douglas Fitzpatrick ( left ) of Sheringham Hall , Norfolk , is helped by German mechanic Jerry Majewski to overhaul his Metallurgique car . The huge pistons came from the Maybach Zeppelin engine , a treasured possession which gives the car a cruising speed of over 100 miles per hour at 1,300 revolutions per minute . The car is in regular use and is a familiar sight locally . 31 January 1959
