Carrying a prescription book under her arm , Mrs Elizabeth Mary Temple , proprietor of an Eastbourne chemist's shop , is seen leaving the Eastbourne magistrate's court , where she gave evidence in the hearing of the murder charge against Dr John Bodkin Adams . Dr Adams , 57 , is accused of murdering a patient Mrs Edith Alice Morrell , 81 , by a massive dose of drugs in November 1950 , but the Crown also alleges that he caused the deaths of two other Eastbourne residents , Mr Alfred Hullett , 71 and his widow Mrs Gertrude Hullett , 50 , who died within four months of each other . Miss Temple told the Court that Mr Hullett occasionally visited her shop . She also produced prescriptions which she has were made out by Dr Adams . 17th January 1957
