Mr Alfred Ellis Spenceley , a qualified pharmaceutical Chemist , is seen outside the Eastbourne Magistrates' Court , where he was the tenth witness to give evidence in the hearing of the murder charge against Dr John Bodkin Adams . Mr Spenceley was employed until 1954 as manager in charge of the dispensary of Messrs HR Browne , Chemists . It is alleged that Dr Adams , Eastbourne Doctor , accused by the Crown of killing a patient , Mrs Edith Morrell , in November 1950 , wrote certain prescriptions for drugs which were dispensed at the chemists shop between January and November 1950 . 15 January 1957
