Hinkley Point Power Station A model of the power station ordered by the Central Electricity Authority to be built at a cost of ?0 million. When built it will have an output of 500,000 watts and will be the world's largest atomic powered plant. The contract to build the station, Britain's fourth A-power station, goes to English Electric who have formed a team with Babcock and Wilcox and Taylor Woodrow. 13 September 1957
