Cube sugar is once again being produced at the Tate and Lyle Refineries at Silvertown and is being supplied to supermarkets, stores and shops. After the fire in the refineries , the production of cube sugar was halted , but now the plant has been rehoused in a new building and two machines are producing 30 tons of cubes per day for the home market and 35 tons of cube for export .
