Army gets ready to feed docks troops at Clapham Shelter With preparations being made to send 4,000 more troops to unload food ships in London docks - should the docks Emergency Committee call for them - soldiers are erecting field kitchens and carrying out Army Catering Corps arrangements to cater for several thousand men at the Clapham South ( London deep air raid shelter ) The Shelter is now a troops' hostel .
