Seretse and family arrive at Southampton. Seretse Khama, Chief designate of the Bamangwato tribe, arrived at Southampton today, he was accompanied by his wife Ruth and daughter, Jacqueline. He is here for talks with his Uncle Tahekedi on the future chieftainship of the tribe. After a recent series of secret talks with his uncle Tahekedie views on his marriage to white Londont typist Ruth, remain unaltered, both of them have reached the conclusion that a basis of cooperation between them and their people and the British Government is not an impossible solution to find.
