Duke and Duchess of Windsor in Nuremberg . Continuing their German tour, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visited Nuremberg, scene of the annual Nazi Party Congress, where they spent a busy day. Their inspection included new Nazi Congress buildings. It was reported that Herr Julius Streicher, Governor of Franconia and notorious anti-semitic leader, was prolonging his holiday in Italy in order to avoid a meeting with the Duke and Duchess. Streicher had made allegations at the time of the abdication that the Duchess has Jewish blood.
