Misamari , India : Tibetan refugees look happy as they down a hot " mug " of tea on their arrival at Misamari in Assam , shortly after their arrival over the foothills of India from Tibet . The first 91 refugees from Communist controlled Tibet arrive in India and when interviewed confirmed that they had been fired on by Commmunist Chinese aircraft as they fled . Many of them had untreated bullet wounds dressed in rough bandages . The refugees were mainly monks, merchants and rebel tribesmen . 13 May 1959
