Diana Coupland and the ' singing barber ' Monty Norman pictured after they had become engaged in front of the TV camera in the ' Jack Jackson Show ' on commercial television. They met when both were signing on the BBC programme ' Hit Parade '. Diana , voted the RAF Pin-up No 1 , was invited by the American forces to make a two-months' tour of their camps in Germany last summer . She is from Leeds . Monty was a barber in Hackney , London , before joining the RAF . On demobilisation , he joined Nat Temple in a radio programme and since has become a TV , radio and recording personality . He lives with his parents in Stoke Newington , North London 27 November 1955
